2018 is being called the "year of the women," with record-breaking numbers of women deciding to run for office. This panel presentation brings together four local elected officials to discuss why they decided to run for office, how to run a successful campaign, the importance of representation by women in politics, and the challenges or biases that women may face when running for election and serving in office. Panelists will also answer audience questions in a brief Q&A following the panel discussion.
